Focus

Samantha joined ClientEarth USA in August 2026 and is based in Los Angeles. Her work focuses on holding companies legally accountable for climate-related harm and encouraging positive climate action.

Experience

Prior to joining ClientEarth, Samantha spent two years as a judicial law clerk at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, where she worked as a floater law clerk assisting multiple district judges and as a term clerk to the Honorable Mónica Ramírez Almadani. Samantha also spent two years as an associate attorney in the Environment and Land Use practice group of a mid-size law firm, where she advised public and private sector clients on issues of regulatory compliance, permitting, and litigation.

Education

Samantha earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was a Henderson public interest scholar and graduated with certificates in Environmental Law, Consumer Law and Social Justice. She was also involved with Ecology Law Quarterly, Berkeley Law’s environmental law journal. She earned her B.A. from Williams College, where she majored in Political Science and graduated with departmental honors.

When not working, Samantha enjoys spending time outside with family, friends, and her dog, Playa.
