Kimberly Blake is an attorney with expertise in international business law and dispute resolution. At ClientEarth, she focuses on integrating climate-related financial risks into private retirement fund management, ensuring that fiduciaries account for how climate change impacts long-term financial stability. She also supports ClientEarth’s Latin America and Caribbean initiatives related to agricultural supply chains and biodiversity. Originally from Detroit and now based in Miami, Kimberly considers herself a global citizen and has lived and worked abroad in Spain, France, Mexico.
Kimberly began her legal career in Paris, training with the international arbitration group of a leading law firm, where she focused on commercial and investment treaty arbitrations in the aviation, energy, and construction sectors. She later served as Deputy Counsel at the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in New York, where she oversaw hundreds of international and domestic arbitrations, many involving large infrastructure and energy projects. Most recently, Kimberly worked for a third-party litigation funder specialized in cross-border securities litigation, helping institutional investors recover losses stemming from corporate governance failures and financial misconduct, further deepening her expertise in financial markets and shareholder rights.
After graduating with her B.A. from Northwestern University, Kimberly taught English in Madrid and developed a passion for travel and cultural exchange. While completing her J.D. at the University of Michigan Law School, she cultivated her interest in international development through internships with an international law firm in Mexico City and the World Bank in Washington, D.C.
Beyond the law, she finds balance in Miami’s vibrant energy—staying active through fitness, exploring contemporary art, and tending to her vegetable garden. Kimberly is fluent in Spanish and has conversational knowledge of French and Portuguese.
